The 2002 WinWriters Salary Survey
Canada and Other Countries

As this survey continues to grow, we hope to provide useful information for regions outside the United States. That can only happen with active participation from user assistance professionals around the world. This 2002 survey received considerably more international responses than the 2001 survey.

Canada

We received 118 responses from Canada, representing seven provinces. The following values are listed in Canadian dollars.

The overall average compensation is $59,932 CAD per year. That is equivalent to approximately $40,000 USD. The maximum reported income was $120,000 CAD and the lowest was $24,000 CAD. The salaries fall into the following quartile groupings:

The majority of responses came from the following provinces: Alberta ($53,146 average CAD), British Columbia ($55,240 average CAD), and Ontario ($65,281 average CAD).

Salary - Other than U.S./CanadaInternational

We received 186 responses from residents of 21 countries other than the United States and Canada.

The figure shows the complete range of salaries reported to us. Seventy percent of the salary responses are in the range of $25,000 to $50,000 USD.

The majority of responses came from the following countries: United Kingdom ($47,000 average USD), France ($43,502 average USD), and Australia ($46,844 average USD).
