The Gender GapAlthough two-thirds of the 2001 WinWriters Salary Survey respondents are female, they lag their male counterparts in annual salary by an average of $3,500, or a 5.7% difference. This is a slight (but statistically insignificant) decrease from the 2000 salary survey gap of 7%. The disparity is even larger in Canada. For comparison, in the 2000 Society for Technical Communication survey, men receive 7.7% more than women. | |||||
