LaunchPad Certificate Recipients
To help make the takeoff as smooth and enjoyable as possible for those who are new to the user assistance community, the WritersUA Conference has offered the LaunchPad Certificate Program. WritersUA designed this program to assist newcomers in selecting the most effective series of sessions, to give them guidance from user assistance mentors, and to bring them together with others who are also entering the user assistance arena. There is no extra charge to participate in the program. Over 350 Certificates Have Been Awarded!
In completing this program participants followed a carefully designed curriculum that introduced them to the most important foundation skills while allowing them time to explore individual interests. Participants attend a set number of sessions within a particular discipline. These sessions were open to any and all conference attendees.
Program Features
• A conference orientation meeting—exclusively for certificate participants—to help them plan their week.
• The chance to meet with experienced user assistance veterans. Special LaunchPad mentors helped participants plan their session selection strategy, answered questions, and introduced them to colleagues.
• A unique LaunchPad completion certificate and permanent placement on the WritersUA Web site as a LaunchPad graduate.
